Biosystems Engineering, PLLC (BE) is a family owned and operated professional services consultancy in Carrboro, NC founded by the Shumaker family. We were inspired to create this business as a way to contribute to the world we want our kids to live in. We do this through engineering, traceability and carbon accreditation services that serve the infrastructure of more sustainable, equitable communities. Meaningful relationships with clients and collaborators are the foundation of our work.  We at BE are committed to delivering high quality results that satisfy clients while co-creating a safer, saner world for present and future generations.
