Biosystems Engineering, PLLC (BE) is committed to being a forerunner in changing the way business is done. We believe it is important to acknowledge and share privilege and work diligently to level the playing field. In line with this value BE commits 5% of gross revenue to Mutual Equity Initiatives, both internally, for team education and especially externally where we wish to elevate individuals and organizations that are focused on environmental and social wellness work. When possible, preference is given to local entrepreneurs and Minority Business Enterprises.
NOTE: as of July 1st, 2026, BE's Mutual Equity Fund has been put on pause until further notice.
BE SUPPLIER SOURCING POLICY
Additionally, whenever possible we seek to engage and give preference to suppliers who share our mission and values especially Minority Business Enterprises including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, disabled, women, femme and veteran owned business enterprises, as well as small/micro/boutique businesses, non-profit organizations, B-Corps and governmental entities.
This aligns with our Purpose and Core Values recognizing that justice work and fairness
in the US is simply a cost of doing business with integrity.
